NEW YORK – German digital pathology company Mindpeak announced Monday that it has raised $15.3 million in a Series A financing round.
The round was led by Zeiss Ventures and InnoVentureFund with participation from AI.FUND and the European Innovation Council Fund, among others. The new funding will allow the firm to further expand commercialization in multiple countries, the Hamburg-based company said in a statement.
Mindpeak offers artificial intelligence-based algorithms to support pathologists with a focus on automating tissue analysis and currently offers products for breast and lung cancer.
"With this new capital, we will accelerate the development and deployment of our AI solutions, empowering pathologists and researchers with faster, more accurate diagnostic tools," Mindpeak CEO Felix Faber said. "Our goal is to revolutionize cancer diagnostics and ultimately improve patient outcomes."
