NEW YORK – Indian precision oncology firm 4baseCare said Wednesday that it has inked a partnership with United Arab Emirates-based next-generation sequencing service provider Innovate Life Sciences to offer 4baseCare’s genomic tests in Dubai.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the deal, 4baseCare and Innovate Life Sciences, which operates a genomics lab at Dubai Science Park, will offer cancer genomic testing, such as cancer gene panels, whole-exome sequencing, and transcriptome analysis, to cancer patients in the region.
"Our new partnership at Dubai Science Park is a collaborative effort to manage the economic burden of cancer and expand access to cancer care," 4baseCare CEO Hitesh Goswami said in a statement.
Based in Bangalore, 4baseCare, which has been a member of Illumina's accelerator program since 2019, raised $6 million in Series A funding in August to support its expansion across India and abroad. In addition to Dubai, the company previously said it plans to establish genomics laboratories in the Philippines and in Nepal.
In 2022, 4baseCare struck a partnership with AstraZeneca India to help advanced cancer patients find treatment options using genomics-based molecular profiling.
